OB truck technician (m/f/d)

Without you, the OB truck is just an expensive lorry. You set up, measure through, find the fault before broadcast – and head home knowing everything ran.

mobile Full-time from 01.09.

You look after our UHD OB trucks from arrival to strike. That means cabling, signal paths, camera setup, measurement and troubleshooting under real time pressure. Between productions you keep the vehicles in shape and help build new setups.

Your responsibilities

  • Set-up and strike of production equipment at changing venues
  • Setting up and adjusting camera chains, intercom and signal distribution
  • Fault-finding and troubleshooting during live productions
  • Maintenance, care and inventory of equipment in Cologne
  • Support with integrating new IP and UHD technology

What to expect

Around 100 production days a year, from regional league football to World Cup events on the Baltic Sea. No two weeks are the same, but our processes are reliable: clear packing lists, fixed teams, planned recovery days after long stretches.

Your profile

  • Completed training as a media designer for image and sound, event technician or comparable
  • Initial experience in mobile production or OB truck operations
  • Understanding of video signals, networking and measurement methods
  • Practical skills and physical stamina
  • Class B driving licence; Class C1 is an advantage
  • High willingness to travel, including weekends
